Tim Tebow became the third son of a preacher man to win the Heisman Trophy for the University of Florida. Fascinating, really. Spurrier, Wuerffel, and Tebow were all the children of ministers. Tebow is also the first sophomore, the first #15, and the first home schooled kid to win the trophy. It's fitting because he was also the first player ever to throw for over 20 touchdowns and run for over 20 touchdowns (51 total).Born in the Philippines (he's also the first Philippine born winner of the trophy), his mother was quite sick when she was about to give birth. The doctors told her that he would probably not live and that if he did live, he would be the runt of the family (my words, not the doctors'). Some runt!
