Don't expect an update on the blog until Monday. We're about to leave for a silent retreat at the Abbey of Gethsemani. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm not taking the computer along, just a Bible, a Whitham book, and a journal.We were supposed to leave at 12:30 today, but there was an emergency faculty meeting called (which means something unsettling may be afoot here at Asbury, but that's jumping to conclusions). So . . . we'll leave at 3pm.

Our interim pastor said that she went to a week-long retreat at an Abby, and discovered quickly that it would be a silent retreat. She didn't know if she could do it at first, but it ended up being one of the best weeks of her life & she goes back once a year! I hope you enjoy your experience as well.
