Jason was the lead-off hitter on Tuesday. He preached a fantastic sermon for a Homecoming. His story about sneaking onto a farm for a dip in a pond was perfect for preaching on the Prodigal Son. He and his brother were afraid of the owners so they snuck onto the property, jumped in and out of the pond and ran toward home. The owner caught them and informed them that the pond was where all the pig poop went.My sermon didn't quite work, but it had some good stuff in it. Maybe by next Sunday I'll have it re-ordered, re-configured and on the right path.
Bryan's sermon made our group 2 for 3 for the day. He preached on the birth of Jesus from Joseph's perspective. It was powerful, moving, and thought-provoking.
This was my last time preaching for Dr. Kalas in his class. This one is over. I'll miss our time with him.

Your sermon was fine. Mine was a Christmas sermon that rode a wave of sentimentality. Yours was challenging and interesting. If you work with before Sunday, don't work it too much.
