Wilmore's Old Fashion Christmas

The 18th annual Lighting of the Wilmore Christmas Tree got off to a little bit of a rocky start for the Wymer family. As you can see we were simply bubbling with holiday cheer as we left the house. If you don't recognize those looks you are either from the world's most polished family . . . or you need to look closer. Still warming to joy of the season, Meghan tried hard to prime the pump.
Aahhhhh . . . togetherness. . . Coooorra, Annnnnaaaaa, wait up!
Then Cindy and I were arrested for lack of holiday spirit.Cindy escaped. We found the Wimore Christmas Tree. It had more ornaments on it earlier in the week, but the ugly windstorm and general nastiness of last Wednesday left a lot of the ornaments scattered across the Wilmore United Methodist parking lot (Don't miss the smiling face of Travis Muse at the bottom of this picture!).
Remember when I blogged about the Wilmore IGA grocery store? The town thanked Mr. Fitch (the owner) for staying in business for 50 years by buying him a Corvette. Apparently the town really appreciates having a store close by (this isn't a joke, they really bought him a 'Vette!).
The next three pictures are from a series I call Dads & Daughters.
Matt and Alaina Scholl.
Gordon and Ansley Griffin.
Jason and Meghan McIntosh.
Downtown Wilmore all lit up.
Angels all around.
The McIntosh and Wymer families enjoyed the warmth of the Wilmore Tourism Center.
Cora and Wilmore.
Meghan looked ready to go home.
So did Dad. I missed the beginning of the Florida vs. Arkansas SEC Championship Game.

Jim (whose Dad used to be the chaplain for the UF football team) cheered the Gators to their first SEC Title in since 2000. It was a very good night.
